For five generations my family has called the Eastern Shore of Maryland home. We have worked here, played here, and raised our families here. The Eastern Shore bred values of hard work, honesty, and fairness are reflected in me as a friend, neighbor, business owner, and now politician.
In 2012 I was forced to stand and fight the State that I knew and loved. Alongside business owners across the State we fought not in the courts, but rather, in our legislative halls in Annapolis. For that experience I learned how to work with members of both political parties. And I learned how good constituent service is delivered by honorable men and women elected to represent us.
However, I also discovered that there were very few business owners making laws in our State. At the time I believed that we needed more people who balanced budgets, signed paychecks, and were everyday private sector problem solvers. So I threw my hat in the ring in 2014 and decided to take a stand for our business community.
Because of that decision, I now represent you in Annapolis as your State Delegate for District 37-B covering Caroline, Dorchester, Talbot, and Wicomico Counties. I also serve on the Economic Matters Committee working hard on protecting those values that matter most to all of us. It has been an challenging job to help bring issues to resolution in our state legislative halls. And it has been rewarding to connect citizens with solutions to their concerns and frustrations with government.
I believe in limited government and power of private citizens.
I believe in local control of issues whenever possible through County and municipal elected officials closest to our citizens.
I believe in a strong and effective education system that challenges each student to the limits of their ability.
I believe in Governor Larry Hogan, who works for all Marylanders as a Statesman that brings the best out in all of us.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your State Delegate and I look forward to continuing to be your voice in Annapolis
